Sustainability is a broad concept. In short, it means that in a sustainable world, people, the environment, and the economy are in balance with one another. This way, we do not deplete the earth’s resources.
For years, we have been consciously working on making our company and products more sustainable.
By using solar panels, we can provide the entire company with self-generated power and share the surplus. We use as little gas as possible by growing in sync with the seasons—warm in the summer and cold in the winter. Our goal is to achieve completely gas-free cultivation in the future.
When it comes to protecting our crops, we use biological products as much as possible. Only in cases of emergency may a legally permitted chemical pesticide be used. We would like to transition to fully organic cultivation, but this is not yet possible with current crop protection products. Together with our team and employees, we are trying to find a solution for this.
Our waste streams are separated and reused whenever possible. In addition, the packaging and transport containers we use are reused as much as possible. For example, we use a tray washer to clean used trays so they can be put back into use within our company.
Certificates
MPS-ABC
MPS has been an established quality mark within the flower and plant sector for years. It monitors which products are used by growers. Based on the agents used and according to a fixed framework, the category in which the grower is placed is determined.
Within this quality mark, we hold an MPS-A certificate.
MPS-GAP
The MPS-GAP certificate goes further than the MPS-ABC certificate. This certificate looks more closely at the use of agents, safety, personnel, and the ability to trace plant material. An annual audit takes place to determine whether we are following the correct procedures.

MPS-GRASP
The GAP Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP) certificate focuses further on the social aspects of a company. This is intended to ensure work is carried out under the right working conditions with good employer practices. Assessments include employee compensation levels and health and safety aspects. In this way, a socially responsible way of doing business is supported for the employees.
We hold an MPS-GRASP certificate.
MPS-SQ
The SQ in this certificate stands for ‘Socially Qualified.’ It goes further into the social aspects of the organization. This means that all laws and regulations regarding the employment of personnel are complied with and that there is a safe workplace.
